Indiana Borough Police have released a statement ahead of what is expected to be a busy period.
As Trump’s rally is scheduled for Monday at the KCAC, and a counter-protest planned by IUP’s Democrat Students club for the same time, police anticipate being busy on Monday, and there is also an expected increase in vehicle and pedestrian traffic. They added that there will be an increased police presence, both seen and unseen, in all areas of town, and that there will be additional support from other law enforcement partners.
Police are asking that if you see suspicious activity, report it to police immediately. Don’t wait to call the police, nor should you assume that someone has already called. They also ask for everyone’s help in supporting each other and the police.
