Two First Commonwealth Bankers were named recipients of Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s 2024 Future Under 40 Awards.
Larissa Murphy, First Commonwealth Advertising and Digital Content Manager, and Operations Manager Eric Gavazzi were selected for the honors. It honors industry leaders 40 years of age or younger who made a significant impact on their institution, community and industry.
Murphy joined First Commonwealth Bank in 2010 and has had recent success with leading the advertising strategy to grow the bank’s digital checking-account openings, including developing the advertising creative campaign and strategy. Outside of her work with the bank, she sits on several boards and will also host the bank’s first-ever Disability Day which will welcome school students to spend a day learning how the bank works.
Gavazzi joined in 2006 and has spent 18 years in operations. He implemented various technology platforms to streamline operations and improve on departmental deficiencies over the years. He also works in the community training athletes attending his Crossfit Affiliate, which also works with nonprofit and community service groups to promote health and wellness. He also takes part in the First Commonwealth SPACE program, which stands for Supporting Parents And Caregiver Employees, providing advice for those in need.
