After a few days of training camp, the Pittsburgh Penguins officially start their pre-season campaign today against the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo. The expected lineup does not feature any of the major stars like Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin, but do include forwards Drew O’Connor, Jesse Puljujarvi, Emil Benstrom and others.
This marks the first of a seven-game preseason schedule that will include another game against the Sabres, and games against Detroit, Columbus and Ottawa. The regular season begins October 9th against the New York Rangers.
