Indiana was on the road again this week. This time a much shorter trip to Derry, but the result was the same as Indiana fell, 21-0.
Here’s the recap with Pat Dougherty on WDAD and Renda Digital TV.
Derry scored all its points in the first half, powered by the running back duo of Damauri Robinson and Justin Papuga. Robinson totaled 114 yards and two touchdowns, while Paguga had 85 yards and one touchdown. For the second week in a row, the Indians offense was led by running back Elijah Thomas with 14 carries for 85 yards.
The Indiana defense stiffened in the second half, forcing the Trojans to turn the ball over on downs twice behind some key tackles by Jonny Wyant and Jacob Snyder. Snyder was named the Good and Associates Player of the Game.
Indiana opens conference play next week with a road game at Knoch.
