BOYS GOLF
In a battle for the second spot in the Class AAA Section 1, Indiana topped Kiski Area yesterday in a sudden death playoff, and in doing so they qualified for the WPIAL playoffs. It was the second time in less than two weeks that Indiana tied an opponent. It was 201-201 after regulation. In the sudden death playoff, Indiana’s foursome of Ryan Bell, Chace Force, Austin Schawl, and Caden Force played their hole in one over par, while Kiski’s foursome carded a four over, giving Indiana the win.
It took a tremendous effort for Indiana to even get into the playoff, as the Forces and Schawl all birdied the final hole. For the match, Chace Force shot a 38, Schawl a 39, Bell a 40, Caden Force a 41, and Gabe Nettleton a 43. Kiski’s Caden Witt was the medalist, with a 37.
