A Smicksburg man charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI just over three years ago will be in court today for a hearing to modify his bond conditions.
35-year-old Joshua Brink also faces charges of accidents involving death or personal injury, involuntary manslaughter, DUI and other crimes for an incident on August 27th, 2021. Police said Brink was driving on Barnard Road in West Mahoning Township when he veered off. As he over-corrected to get back on the road, his SUV went up an embankment and struck 52-year-old Douglas Dalessio, who was mowing grass on a lawn tractor. Brink fled the scene but was later found by police. Dalessio was flown to Allegheny General Hospital where he later died.
