State police from the Indiana Barracks are investigating a theft that happened on Wednesday at a Dollar General Store in Montgomery Township.
Troopers say the theft happened at 12:35 PM as a woman went into the Dollar General along Route 286 East when the suspect, described as a 50-year-old woman, found a purse that the victim, a 69-year-old Commodore woman, left in a shopping cart. Before taking it to the clerk, the suspect took $300 from the purse.
