WHAT WE FIRST REPORTED
Repair crews are on the way to fix a low-hanging traffic signal in White Township that is causing some traffic problems this morning.
Initial scanner reports reported that there were some low-hanging utility lines at 6:45 this morning along South 6th Street extension. It was later reported that the traffic light at the intersection of South 6th and Lucerne Road was hanging about six to eight feet off the ground, causing some traffic tie-ups.
Indiana Fire Association is on the scene now with traffic control detail, as traffic is reduced to one lane to allow people to drive around the lowered signal. People are being advised to avoid the intersection right now, and if they are travelling in, please exercise caution as visibility is still low in the area.
