HERITAGE CONFERENCE GIRLS
Down by two after three quarters, Purchase Line outscored Cambria Heights 25-17 in the fourth to beat the Highlanders, 59-53. Madison Scalese was 7-of-8 from the foul line in the final quarter and finished the night with 14 points for the Red Dragons. Abby Goss led the way for Purchase Line with 19 points and Bethany Smith had 14. For Cambria Heights, Bryce Burkey had 15 points, Sienna Kirsch 13, and Karli Storm 11.
United’s girls topped West Shamokin, 57-34. The Lions outscored the Wolves, 20-7 in the third quarter to turn an eight-point lead into a runaway. Jordyn Travis scored 14 points, Lauren Donelson 12, and Aleah Bevard 10 for United. Lexie Young led West Shamokin with 15.
Penns Manor wiped out Northern Cambria, 75-18, as Megan Dumm scored 17 of her 31 points in the first quarter. She had three three-pointers on the night. Alyssa Altemus and Sarah Stiteler each had 13 for the Comets. No Northern Cambria players reached double figures.
Marion Center’s girls played a non-conference game against DuBois and won, 54-46. Lydia Miller scored 22 points, had 10 steals, five rebounds, and seven deflections. Kaelee Elkin scored 15 points with 10 rebounds and Mya Lipsie also grabbed 10 boards while scoring 7. The Stingers were outstanding from the free throw line, going 21-of-23.

Indiana’s girls game at Plum was postponed yesterday and will be played tonight as part of a girls/boys doubleheader. The girls will tip off at 6 o’clock and the boys at 7:30.
