The Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Boston Bruins 6-3 in the first game of the Prospect Challenge in Buffalo. Avery Hayes and Gabe Klassen scored in the first, while Tristian Broz Matthew De St. Phalle and Rutger McGroaty scored in the second, and Broz would pick up his second of the game in the third.
The Pens prospects return to the ice today to play Ottawa.
