The Pirates’ ten-game homestand concludes this weekend with three games against the Kansas City Royals at PNC Park. Right-hander Luis Ortiz (6-5, 3.26 ERA) starts for the Bucs. The Royals have not named their starter.
ALTOONA CURVE
Altoona hammered Richmond, 8-1 last night. Matt Fraizer had two hits and drove in three runs, hitting his fifth home run of the season. Yoyner Fajardo was 2-for-2 with two walks and robbed a hitter of a home run with a leaping catch in left field.
Anthony Solometo starts for the Curve tonight.
