BOYS BASKETBALL
In a WPIAL section game last night, Indiana High fell to Mars.

United’s boys took down Marion Center, 48-22, last night. The Lions jumped out to a 19-7 first-quarter lead and led, 35-13, at the half. Johnny Muchaesko led all scorers with 14 points. Teammates Joe Marino and Tyler Robertson each added 10. No Stingers were able to reach double figures.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Homer-Center found its stride midway through the first quarter and sprinted away from West Shamokin.

In other Heritage Conference girls action:
Marion Center downed Cambria Heights, 51-37, as sophomore Lydia Miller poured in 30 points and fell just shy of a triple double. She had 10 steals and eight rebounds. Kaelee Elkin scored 16 for the Stingers.
Purchase Line trounced Northern Cambria, 69-13. Bethany Smith scored 23 points to lead the way. Madison Scalese had 20 and Anna Layden 10.
In a non-conference game, Penns Manor wiped out Harmony, 82-7, as 11 Comets scored.
