Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi will have a job rebuilding his linebacking corps next season after starter and co-captain Cam Bright announced yesterday that he has entered the transfer portal for his final year of eligibility. He did not give a reason but said he’s been thinking about it for several weeks.
Bright started last week in the Peach Bowl, but his playing time diminished in the last five weeks of the season.
Three Pitt linebackers have used up their eligibility and with former starter Wendell Davis also in the transfer portal, only junior SirVocea Dennis remains of Pitt’s starters. Brandon Davis is also set to return after seeing significant playing time last season.
