In other business, the supervisors elected George Lenz as the chairman of the board of supervisors, with Rich Gallo named vice-president. The board also reaffirmed a revised list of budgeted donations and contributions to groups like the Humane Society, Chevy Chase Community Center, Four Footed Friends and Meals on Wheels. While the board cancelled a planned contribution to the Visiting Nurse Association, they added an award of $2,575 to Alice Paul House. The board also tabled a budget item donation of $100,000 to Citizens Ambulance, with the possibility of $50,000 more as a match of other municipal contributions.
The next regular supervisors meeting will be January 12th at 1:00 PM.
