The Indiana Area School District’s Academic and Extracurricular Committee has an ambitious agenda before it tonight, with consideration of the grade configuration and next steps at the top of the list.
Other items up for discussion tonight will include mental health workers in the schools, which has already begun at Ben Franklin and which the committee would like to bring to other buildings.
Discussion will also be held with ARIN Intermediate Unit over a 21st Century Grant application, a Pennsylvania Inspired Leadership Program, and other issues.
The committee will discuss a memorandum of understanding with the teacher’s union regarding substitute teachers and their compensation.
Other items before the committee tonight will include an appearance by ICTC’s principal, showcasing the district’s literacy program, and social studies, dual enrollment, increasing female participation in athletics, and a White Township field hockey survey.
