Another Penguins player joins the Pens Covid-19 list.
A few minutes before practice started at PPG Paints Arena, forward Jeff Carter was placed on the team’s Covid-19 protocol list. This is the second time that Carter has been placed into protocols after testing positive for the virus back in late October. He makes the eighth player on the Pens Covid-19 list, with the others including Teddy Blueger, Kasperi Kappenen, Domenik Simon, P.O. Joseph, Mike Matheson, John Marino and Tristian Jarry. However, forward Evan Rodrigues was taken off the Covid-19 list, and was back with his teammates yesterday. Rodrigues was placed on the list on Sunday, but because of all the postponements, did not miss any games. Additionally, forwards Anthony Angello and Radim Zohorna were recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and placed on the team’s taxi squad.
The Pens have not played since December 19th, but they are expected to play on Sunday as they host the San Jose Sharks. You can hear the game on U-92.5 FM starting at noon on Sunday with the pre-game show
