No official designation has come from Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin concerning Russell Wilson’s availability for Sunday’s season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.
A nagging calf injury that was reaggravated on Thursday kept him limited in practice on Friday, meaning Justin Fields was taking first team snaps again. Wilson is hopeful that he will be able to play, but Fields will be ready to go if that isn’t the case. Three players who are definitely out with injury are Roman Wilson, Logan Lee and Issac Seumalo.
The Steelers play the Falcons at 1:00 PM in Atlanta and you can hear the game starting at noon on WDAD.
