State police are investigating a theft that happened earlier this month as floor installers were working at a home in Burrell Township. The incident was reported to police on December 17th by an un-named 52-year-old Blairsville woman. She claimed that two male workers from Empire Today installing floors at her home in the 1200 block of Luciusboro Road around 10:00 that morning and one of them stole $800 out of her purse. Police say the investigation is continuing.
A 13-year-old Blairsville boy is accused of stealing an ATV in an incident reported in November in West Wheatfield Township. State troopers say that the theft happened on November 25th at 5:02 PM at a home along Route 22. The ATV belonged to two Blairsville men, a 63-year-old and a 25-year-old. The ATV was valued at $1000. The suspect also tried to get into the victim’s Alpha Romeo car, but was unsuccessful. The investigation is on-going.
