Today is the swearing-in ceremony for Indiana County’s newest judge on the Court of Common Pleas.
A ceremony will be held at 1:00 this afternoon for Gina Ryen Force, who will be sworn in as a new judge on the county courts. The ceremonies will be held at the County Courthouse. Force, an Indiana County native, was elected the new judge in November. She had been an assistant district attorney under DA Bob Manzi. She represented the DA’s office in several high-profile appeals cases before State Superior Court, including the Brady DiStefano case where she successfully argued for partial reinstatement of charges against the former IUP student that was charged in the death of a fellow fraternity member.
With her appointment, the county court is now once again up to three full time judges. She joins President Judge Thomas Bianco and County Judge Mike Clark to fill out the three-member panel.
