The day before the first game of the season for the Pitt Panthers, they got some news that will hurt their running backs room. Senior Rodney Hammond, Jr. was deemed ineligible for the entire season. Pitt officials did not release a reason, but said that Hammond, who was part of Pitt’s big victory against Boston College and a 2022 MVP of the Sun Bowl, will remain with the team and be allowed to practice with them.
The Panthers will need to shake that news off as they get ready for today’s game against Kent State at Acrisure Stadium. Kickoff is at noon on WCCS.
