Four Indiana County teams came away with wins Friday night in Week 2 high school football action, including two teams that now boast 2-0 records.
In the Heritage Conference, Marion Center and Penns Manor notched their second victories while continuing to post lots of zeroes on the defensive side. Marion Center gave up points for the first time this season when opponent Homer-Center scored in the fourth quarter, but the Stingers took home a 19-6 road win. Penns Manor, meanwhile, gave up its first points of the season in a 20-6 victory over West Shamokin.

The River Valley Panthers claimed their first win in a 39-14 victory at Conemaugh Township. Here’s Jake Slebodnick with that recap on Cat Country 106.3 FM.
In WPIAL action, Indiana fell behind early but came back to beat Ringgold, 14-13, in overtime for the Indians’ first win. Pat Dougherty recapped the game on WDAD and Renda Digital TV.

In other action, Cambria Heights continued its early dominance of the Heritage Conference with a 51-0 rout of Purchase Line. Also Portage beat Conemaugh Valley, 47-8.
