The jackpot for one of the two main multi-state lottery games continues to increase as no one won the top prize in last night’s draw.
Last night’s Powerball numbers were 36-38-45-62-64 with a power ball of 19. As no one matched all five regular numbers and the powerball, the jackpot prize rolled over to a $441 million annuity prize. For those who would want the cash option, the cash prize comes to $317.5 million. Those prizes could increase as more tickets are purchased for the next drawing, which is slated for Wednesday.
The last time the Powerball jackpot was won was back in early October. The jackpot at the time was close to $700 million and was won by someone who purchased a ticket in California. While the jackpot is at a high level now, it is not near the highest jackpot, which was $1.58 billion in early 2016. That prize was split among those who purchased tickets in California, Tennessee and Florida.
