We are one week away from the start of IUP’s football season and last night coach Paul Tortorella put the team through its paces at Miller Stadium. Jack Benedict was there.
Tortorella says the offensive backfield is getting healthier, but the defensive backfield has some new concerns.
Quarterback Karst Hunter took a while to settle in, throwing an early interception and not getting the snap off in time to avoid a delay of game penalty, but he turned it around and had a solid night. Tortorella says Hunter can be a headache for defenses.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 PM a week from tonight at Ashland.
