Pitt opens its season on Saturday afternoon against Kent State at Acrisure Stadium, and coach Pat Narduzzi is ready to go, even if he doesn’t have a starting quarterback…yet.
Coming off a 3-9 season which started 1-4, Narduzzi says the Panthers would have the same approach whether they were playing SEC powerhouse Georgia or a Mid-America Conference team such as Kent State. He says Pitt has to concentrate on themselves, not their opponent.
The coach says he will allow quarterbacks Nate Yarnell and Eli Holstein settle their battle for the starting job on the field of play. Narduzzi hasn’t named a starter but says both will play on Saturday.
You can hear Pitt football all season long on WCCS. Saturday’s game kicks off at noon.
