The Pittsburgh Penguins handed the Arizona Coyotes their 13th loss in 17 games to start the season by a score of 3-1 Tuesday night at PPG Paints Arena.
Penguins goals were scored by Phil Kessel, Evengi Malkin and Justin Schultz. Kessel and Malkin each had three points.
Matt Murray stopped 24 of 25 shots for the win.
The Penguins improved to 9-6-2 and took over first place in the Metropolitan Division.
