Steelers punter Pressley Harvin III will not play against the Kansas City Chiefs today due to the death of his father. The team has signed Corliss Waitman, a free agent who was on their practice squad last season, to punt this afternoon.
Harvin’s father attended last Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh, but he’d been battling a terminal illness.
The Steelers have also activated guard JC Hassenauer from injured reserve, and elevated to the active roster as covid replacements guard Rashaad Coward, running back Trey Edmunds, and linebacker John Simons.
Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 this afternoon.
