Indiana Borough residents are encouraged to voice their opinions regarding a grant application for Community Development Block Grant funding.
The borough is requesting approximately $202,202 in CDBG funds from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, and a three-year community improvement plan will be submitted along with the grant application.
A portion of those funds will go towards Phase One of the Fisher Avenue Improvement project, while the remaining amount will go towards administration and auditing. Officials say in a Facebook post that the renovations will benefit at least 51 percent of people with low-to-moderate income in the project area.
If you’re interested in commenting on the application or the three-year community plan, submit them between 8:30 and 4 Monday through Friday to the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development at 801 Water Street in Indiana. Comments may also be emailed to comments@ceo.co.indiana.pa.us.
