Months after an assassination attempt during his campaign rally in Butler, former President Donald Trump said he plans on holding a second rally at the same location in October.
Trump revealed the plans during a conversation with Tesla founder and CEO of X Elon Musk on the social media’s Spaces platform Monday night, although he did not specify the date or time for his second appearance. Trump was grazed by a bullet during his rally on July 13th and one person died in the incident.
According to a report from CBS News, Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe said his office has not been contacted regarding a second appearance from the Republican presidential nominee, but he said his office will be ready to assist Secret Service members quote, “if called upon.”
