There were no reported injuries in a one-vehicle crash in Rayne Township on Saturday.
State Police say the hit-and-run crash happened at 8:02 AM along Musser Road just south of Tanoma Road. When troopers arrived, they found a Volkswagen Jetta 150 yards off the road stuck in a field and locked. The driver was not on the scene. The vehicle was on property that was owned by People’s Natural Gas, but the company was concerned if someone was either passed out or injured and had no issue with the car being in the field.
The investigation into the identity of the driver is ongoing.
