First Commonwealth Bank has announced some promotions for two of its staffers.
The bank announced that effective January 1st, current Senior Vice President and Community PA Regional President Dave Reed will be promoted to the role of PA State President for the firm. He will have regional president responsibilities over the bank’s full PA footprint. Reed joined First Commonwealth three years ago after a 16-year career in the state house of representatives, including the last four years as the House Majority Leader. Reed has helped oversee the retail expansion into the State College and Williamsport areas and also helped the bank with its recent recognition as one of Pennsylvania’s Best Banks by Forbes Magazine for two years running. In a statement, First Commonwealth CEO Mike Price said that expanding Dave’s role across the state is “a perfect extension of his leadership.”
Senior Vice President and Corporate Banking Group Manager Brian Sohocki will also be promoted on January 1st to Deputy Chief Credit Officer. Brian has been with First Commonwealth for the last 11 years, and helped the bank acquire it’s number-one Small Business Administration Lender in the Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania Region.
