Several fire departments were called to a structure fire in Cherryhill Township Friday morning.
Indiana County 911 summoned Clymer, Indiana, Marion Center, and Commodore firefighters, the RIT Team and state police to 2504 Hood School Road shortly before 9:30 a.m.

Brett Gromley with the Clymer Fire Department said no one was living in the home at the time, however, the homeowner attempted a controlled burn, but did not submit proper documentation for it. As a result, the Department of Environmental Protection ordered crews to put the fire out.
Gromley adds the location made it difficult for fire crews to access the home and put the fire out.
While it rained most of the morning, fire crews still needed more than 6,000 gallons of water from tanker trucks to put out the fire. No one was injured and the home was a complete loss.
State police fire marshals are investigating.
We will have more details on other incidents throughout the day in a separate story.
