More information was released regarding the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during his rally last month in Butler.
Through an investigation, which included the review of several federal documents, it was discovered Thomas Crooks joined the Clairton Sportsman’s Club in August 2023 and made more than 40 visits to the club between then and the shooting on July 13. Club records also show Crooks spent nearly 80 percent of his time at the club’s shooting range, which included practicing on a 200-yard target.
Crooks was approximately 150 yards away from Trump during the incident and was killed by federal agents after grazing the former President’s ear with a bullet. The shooting left one person dead and two others wounded.
