The Marion Center School board will meet tonight and consider approval of a revised health & Safety Plan.
As Indiana County’s other school districts did last week, Marion Center shifted to an optional mask policy, but Superintendent Clint Weimer provided updated guidance on masking and quarantining, writing frankly in a public letter that he fears the number of quarantined students may increase.
Tonight’s meeting is a combined work and voting session. The board will deal with a number of personnel matters and with some policy changes recommended by the Pennsylvania School Boards Association.
After the public meeting, the board will adjourn into executive session to discuss personnel and labor negotiations.
Indiana Area will hold a virtual special meeting tonight to consider several items. Among them are a motion to approve the updated Health & Safety Plan, the resignation of Horace Mann Elementary principal Krista Sevajian and the posting of the vacancy for a replacement, and the resignation of a Senior High paraeducator.
