At a meeting Monday night, the Center Township Supervisors approved two resolutions for Community Development Block Grant funding agreements.
One resolution will allow the County Office of Planning and Development to submit applications and administer the 2024 CDBG entitlement program on behalf of the township, with the other being a similar agreement for the county commissioners. Supervisors Chairman Matt Housholder said that they are looking to use the money for projects in the village of Coy.
He said that they hope to get $300,000 in CDBG money for the projects.
In other business, supervisors are continuing to work on a solar ordinance, which would include fees for commercial and residential properties. The proposed fees would be a price per square foot for commercial properties and a flat fee for residential properties. They feel they need to get things done as soon as possible with the ordinance, so a special meeting may be held later this month to pass it.
