State police are investigating an attempted homicide in Conemaugh Township.
Troopers were dispatched to a home along Clarksburg Road around 9:30 Monday morning after a verbal argument turned physical. They say 60-year-old Mary Elizabeth Stuller struck a man in the head with a blunt object, then stabbed and continued hitting him with the object once they were on the ground. The man, who was not named in reports, suffered significant injuries, according to police.
Stuller was taken into custody and charged with attempted homicide through District Judge Christopher Welch’s office.
