The weather cooperated and provided a beautiful day for a ride as the Red Knights Motorcycle Club hosted it’s annual Teddy Bear Fun Ride.
This marks the 12th year that the Red Knights have put on the run. First ride captain Dave Crane said that several fire departments provided an escort for the near 150 participants in the ride, with no issues reported with traffic or weather over the 80 mile course. The fundraiser has been a major success over the years, including this one. He said that his brother, Jordan, who was second ride captain, was the main reason why he keeps doing it.
The event raises money for the Teddy Bear Fund Drive, which supports child health care at IRMC and the Free Care Fund of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
