PA GAME COMMISSION APPROVES HUNTING SCHEDULE FOR 2026-27

The Pennsylvania Game Commission on Saturday approved the schedules for the commonwealth’s hunting and trapping seasons.

One of the hot button issues was the start of rifle deer season.  For this coming year, it will remain the Saturday after Thanksgiving, which is November 28^th, and will run until December 13^th.  A bill in the state senate tried to get the date moved back to its traditional start of the Monday after Thanksgiving.  Archery deer season will run October 30^th to November 20^th and December 26^th to January 24^th of 2027.

Firearms black bear season will run November 21^st to the 24^th.  Archery black bear season will go from September 19^th to November 27^th.
