A Homer City woman died in a crash on Indian Springs Road Friday afternoon.
Indiana County 911 reported the crash at 2:58 PM and state police, Citizen’s Ambulance and Indiana Fire Association were dispatched. State police said that the driver, 78-year-old Barbara Waltermire, was driving a car east on Indian Springs Road when she drifted off the road near the former VFW Golf Course. Her car hit a tree head on.
Troopers said she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the impact, and that all airbags had deployed.
