A Johnstown man who was one of 31 people indicted in a 2021 investigation into a drug ring was ordered to serve time in federal prison this week.
U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti announced that 54-year-old Jonathan Brunson was convicted of conspiracy to distribute meth, fentanyl, cocaine, crack and heroin and possession with intent to distribute. He will serve 144 months in prison followed by five years of probation. Officials said he worked to help distribute the drugs through the western PA region, including Indiana County from April of 2019 to July of 2021. He was intercepted on a federal wiretap obtaining quantities of the drugs as part of a Homeland Security Investigation.
State Troopers, the Indiana Borough Police Department and the Indiana County District Attorney’s office assisted federal, state and regional investigators in the case.
