After a car crash was reported yesterday morning, first responders were sent out for a wide variety of calls on Thursday.
That crash was on Route 119 North in Rayne Township at 9:07 yesterday morning as a car drifted across the road and clipped a garbage truck, then rolling onto its roof. The driver of the car was taken to IRMC for treatment of unknown injuries. No injuries were reported to the driver of the garbage truck. Crews were on the scene for about two hours for cleanup and investigation.
Iselin fire department was sent at 2:29 PM for a Brush Fire on Girty Road in Armstrong County.
Rossiter firefighters were called to a home on Church Road in Canoe Township at 4:49 PM for a basement pumping detail.
There were also two calls for utility lines down. The first was 5:03 PM on Nowrytown Road in Conemaugh Township that brought Saltsburg fire department out. The other was at 7:27 PM on Maple Avenue in Blairsville. Blairsville fire and police departments were joined by Black Lick firefighters.
