The Westmoreland County Housing Authority is working on new rules for people who are visiting residents at the authority’s nearly 40 properties.
The agency board has asked Executive Director Michael Washowich to work with management to come up the guidelines over the next several months. He says they will likely prohibit guests from carrying guns onto properties and access to buildings will probably be limited for visitors.
The changes are meant to enhance security and maintain peaceful residences, according to Washowich.
