A 30-year-old Punxsutawney fitness trainer is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly hiding a camera pen inside a gym tanning room, authorities said.
According to ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, the device was discovered March 18 at an Anytime Fitness location, and video reportedly showed the man placing it behind a trash can. Investigators said he initially claimed he was paid by another individual to plant the device but later admitted he purchased it and knew it was capable of recording.
He was arraigned March 19 and released on $20,000 unsecured bail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 21.
