The Indiana Area school board on Monday will hold a special meeting, and the actions on the agenda includes a recommendation for the purchase of an upgrade to the mass alert system at the Senior High School, Junior High School, and the East Pike Elementary School. The board will also vote on new servers and additional cameras at the Junior High School. Total cost of the two measures tops $300,000, with the funds coming from the Capital Reserve Fund.
The board will also consider asking students, staff, and families to respond to the School Climate Surveys to gather input regarding school safety, environment, communication, and overall climate, related to the district’s Comprehensive Plan.
River Valley’s board meets on Tuesday. They have not yet published their agenda. The ICTC Joint Operating Committee also meets on Tuesday.
