Indiana County First Responders had a relatively calm day on Friday with four calls for service, including the 17th brush fire call of the year.
That brush fire call was on Clyde Road in West Wheatfield Township. The Armagh/East Wheatfield and Clyde fire departments were sent out at 1:51 PM. Details on the fire, including how it started, have not been released.
Fire crews were called out twice for odor investigations. The first was at 6:40 in the morning at a location on Old Route 119 South in Center Township, with Homer City fire crews sent out. The other was about 12 hours later in Rayne Township. Creekside firefighters were sent to Blue Spruce Road.
The final call for service was to assist paramedics at a location on Route 403 in Pine Township at 6:34 PM. Pine Township firefighters were dispatched at the time.
