After a quiet day on Wednesday, activity picked up for Indiana County’s first responders last night.
One of the calls was the 17th brush fire call of the year for the county. This was at 7:20 PM along Newport Road in Banks Township. Black Lick, Blairsville and Aultman fire departments were sent out at the time.
Marion Center and Plumville fire departments were dispatched at 5:29 PM to set up a landing zone along West Creek Road in East Mahoning Township and the only other call for service was an odor investigation on Neal Road in Center Township that Coral-Graceton firefighters handled at the same time.
