From the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is alerting motorists to bridge repair work on South Sixth Street at the Grant Street intersection in Indiana Borough March 30 through May 1.
A portion of Grant Street will be closed during construction. To detour, motorists will use School Street or Carter Avenue from South Sixth Street to South Seventh Street bypassing Grant Street. South Sixth Street will remain open to traffic.
This ongoing work is in conjunction with the paving project that occurred in summer 2025. Work is weather dependent.
Quaker Sales Corporation of Johnstown is completing this bridge repair as part of a $3.1 million contract which included include the addition of Americans with Disabilities (ADA) ramp replacements and additional work on Route 119 in 2025.
