A cold front moving through the region today will bring showers and a few thunderstorms to our area this morning.
According to AccuWeather, the line of storms moved through eastern Ohio before dawn and is now pushing across western Pennsylvania, heading toward the Laurel Highlands and the ridges later this morning into early afternoon.
Because the storms are predicted to arrive earlier in the day, forecasters say the severe weather risk for much of our area is lower, and many communities may only see brief heavy rain and gusty winds. However, storms could strengthen as they move east later today.
Meanwhile, a wind advisory will remain in effect today until 11 am.
