In Indiana County Court on Monday, sentencing is scheduled for Joshua Brink, the Smicksburg man who in December pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle while DUI in the death of Douglas Dalessio, who was mowing grass when Brink’s pickup truck ran off Barnard Road in West Mahoning Township and struck him in August of 2021. The mandatory minimum sentence is seven years in prison. Brink will turn 37 years old this Sunday.
Also scheduled for sentencing is Troy Kromer of North Mahoning Township, who pleaded guilty but mentally ill to arson charges and four related offenses for setting fire to his family home last year.
Other defendants scheduled to be sentenced are:
- Richard Torres Santiago, for stalking, false imprisonment, and harassment in two separate cases;
- three defendants guilty of DUI
- four defendants guilty of retail theft;
- two convicted of burglary;
- and defendants found guilty for cases of endangering the welfare of children, drug offenses, and assault.
