While the snowplows are in the garage from PennDOT, students are once again asked to submit their designs for the Paint the Plow contest.
The program asks students to paint an original mural on a PennDOT snowplow blade while incorporating a safety-related theme suggested by the department to promote winter driving safety. The designated theme for this year is “Snow Means Slow”, a reminder that drivers should reduce their speed in snowy and wintery conditions. Students in public and private schools across PennDOT District 10, which includes Indiana, Jefferson, Armstrong, Butler and Clarion Counties are asked to submit their entries. Those who want to take part must have school officials complete and return an application via email to the PennDOT regional coordinator, Christina Gibbs.
