The executive director of the Westmoreland County Airport Authority is close to finalizing a deal for a budget airline to begin operations out of Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.
Spirit Airline recently canceled service out of the airport to Orlando. Gabe Monzo says he has been in talks with a number of carriers.
Meanwhile, Spirit continues to offer seasonal service to Myrtle Beach.
